After downloading FrameThief, when I click on the downloaded file it opens with the wrong application like QuickTime Player.

FrameThief is distributed in a StuffIt (.sit) archive, if your system does not have any support for unpacking sit files, it will exibit this sysmptom. Please downlod and install the free StuffIt Expander Trial from the following location:

http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/download.html

Once installed, you should be able to extract the FrameThief distribution.
